Government Performance Summit (GPS) on May 7-8 2018
Attention ASQ Members in the Washington DC/Baltimore/VA/MD/PA/DE/NJ/NY vicinity who have an interest in improving quality and performance in Governments:
Chairs/Chair-Elects: Please pass message along to your ASQ membership
ASQ and the ASQ Government Division are sponsors of this year’s Government Performance Summit (GPS) in Washington, DC on May 7-9. There are still some open slots to be a speaker or be on a panel (or you may know of someone who has an interest – please pass along this message). Or if you have an interest in just attending the conference, you will undoubtedly learn a lot and have the opportunity to network with other Government leaders and experts in quality and performance improvement. There are actually 3 Summits being held simultaneously in the same location with some common topics (see attached brochures). They all appeal to some level of Government (or consultants/academia). There is the:
Government Performance Summit (GPS) – generally Federal government
State Performance Summit (SPS)
City and County Performance Summit (CCPS)
The GPS topic sessions are mostly panels of 3-4 speakers, whereas the SPS and CCPS are typically a single speaker for the entire hour. Attached are the brochures for GPS, SPS, and CCPS.
Since speakers are still being identified, ASQ has an opportunity to offer up some possibilities, but preferably the speaker should be someone who is either in Government, has been in Government, or has a deep understanding of Government. ASQ could potentially offer a panel speaker for GPS and/or a single speaker for the SPS/CCPS. Review the attached brochures to see if there are any topics that you would feel comfortable speaking about or being on a panel. If you are interested in speaking/paneling (or you know of a potential speaker), then please contact me as soon as possible at marc.berson@practical-me.com.
