The Quality Connection has been published by ASQ Baltimore Section 0502 for its local members and interested parties. Its purpose is to communicate information on quality topics and professional improvement opportunities, provide recognition, and promote networking, active Section involvement, and educational opportunities to quality professionals in the Baltimore Section.

At this time, the newsletter is on hiatus, but if there are any volunteers who may be interested in working on the newsletter, please feel free to contact the Section Board.

  • ASQ Grants Fellow Status to 15 Members.   Including two local Quality colleagues:
    • Eugene D. Kirsch, Booz Allen Hamilton, Rockville, Md. — For exceptional contributions to the application of standards and quality engineering methods to the management of enterprise quality and risk performance.
    • Robert J. Scanlon, Transportation Security Administration, Arlington, Va. — For exceptional effectiveness in the application of quality improvement tools and techniques for performance excellence in the manufacturing, service, and government sectors, and for dedicated service to ASQ through national and section positions and the nation as an examiner for the Baldrige National Quality Award.
