Website: ASQ Baltimore has gone mobile
The ASQ Baltimore website has been updated to be able to be viewed easily on mobile devices.
ASQ Baltimore now supports Apple iPhone / iPod touch, Google Android, Blackberry Storm and Torch, Palm Pre and other touch-based smartphones.
All postings, most pages and RSS feeds are now easily available through your mobile devices.
Inclement Weather Policy
In order to outline to the membership what the current Inclement Weather Policy/SOP is for ASQ 0502 Baltimore sponsored events, we are posting this information. This applies to Dinner meetings, Breakfast meetings, Social events, SIG events or Board Meetings.
In the event of inclement weather the day of an ASQ Baltimore (Section 502) activity, a cancellation notice will be posted at the top of the ASQ 0502 Baltimore website by 2 pm on the day of the event. We will make every effort to email any attendees who reserved through the website or reservations email account.
If there is additional status or news on re-scheduling, or other issues, we will include it on the website.
In summary, if you are unsure whether the event is being held, the decision will be made by 2pm, so please check the ASQ 0502 website to see the status of the event.

FAQ page for Certification available
FAQs for Certification (http://asqbaltimore.org/faq/faq-certification/) have been posted by the Chief Proctor, providing us our first FAQ for the website.
Frequently Asked Questions pages are a great way for the Section to provide answers to our members for questions we routinely get, in a way that allows our members / customers to get the answers at their convenience. You will still be able to email us with your questions, but we hope that these FAQ pages that are upcoming will provide quick answers for you, without waiting for an email response.

Notice: Presentation Page has been updated
The Past Presentations page has been updated with all presentations that have been provided to the webmaster for distribution. This includes presentations from the previous website (2008 and earlier), as well as at least a dozen older, archived presentations that were not posted on the previous website (2001-2004).
There may be additional presentations added to the site, as they become available.

The primary work on the ASQ Baltimore website and ASQ Jobseekers website has been completed.

The new website should be available as the new configuration propagates across the Internet and by this weekend, the new site should be seen by everyone.
Reservations are now active for the remaining meetings on the website.
There are a number of maintenance issues that will be worked on over the next few weeks, but there should be no downtime on the system and the email accounts that the Section uses are now active/live. Content for the meetings and other page will be updated over the net few weeks.
Improved website speed, better email management, and potentially new features will be the results of these changes, and hopefully, there will be updates on the website to note these for your information. The temporary email address that was set up for the conversion will be deleted.

ASQ Baltimore Status – Website Maintenance
Year-end maintenance has begun. As long as this message is at the top of the front of the the website, the website will be undergoing testing, maintenance and host changing.
Ultimately, the website will be better off after the work that is now on-going. You may not see any immediate physical changes, but there will be significant speed and reliability improvements, and a number of new software features that will be available to the Section for use by and for its members.
Any questions specifically for the website development may be emailed to the temporary email address: ASQwebtransfer2010@finegan.info. Please do not email any non-website questions, they will be deleted without response.
Email and website access may be temporarily spotty during the maintenance window, so if you do not get any notices or replies over the next few weeks, please try again after the new website notice come up.

ASQ Baltimore Website Status
To ASQ Baltimore Members, Outreach members and friends,
The ASQ Website will be undergoing maintenance and some minor construction beginning Dec 10, 2010 (after the December Dinner Meeting).
It is hoped that any downtime experienced will be short and not too inconvenient.
Most of the changes will be “invisible” to the membership, but improved website speed, better email management, and potentially new features will be the results.
