Highly motivated individual needed for fast paced high reliability NASA/DOD Engineering and Manufacturing services organization. Candidate will facilitate Customer acceptance of deliverable product and coordinate product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement in manufacturing and delivery of high-reliability NASA/DOD electronic products including CCAs and ECAs. Performs analysis on company products, raw materials, parts, packaging, processes, product manufacturing, and finished goods to ensure defined contractual, regulatory, and quality standards are met. Candidate may conduct non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged, or tested product. Reviews and analyzes results of tests and test reports. Reviews manufacturing and release documentation to determine if product specifications are met. Ensures established sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. Reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies. Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports. Reviews production records for conformance to procedures. May act as final control checkpoint (in-process/final release authorization) and write product specification and quality control procedures, and provide training to personnel. Maintains inspection and approval system, investigates and recommends solutions to production and quality problems and deviations from established standards. Limited travel may be required to suppliers to evaluate processes and/or resolve production issues. Minimum HS diploma required. Associates Degree or Technical Certification preferred. Five years minimum Quality Assurance experience in a hi-rel DOD, NASA, or FAA manufacturing environment required. Strong computer skills needed (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge & use of SAP is a plus. Previous certification to the NASA-STD 8739 series workmanship standards or equivalent preferred. Position may be filled with lower coded offer based on candidate’s qualifications.
