Articles: Using Recruiters

November 30th, 2009

Many job seekers would use recruiters as the second line of “searching” (after job boards/classifieds). But, many seekers just give their recruiters a resume and assume that they are being represented well. Recruiters work for the employers, and many people forget that. How do you deal with it?  Three articles follow.  If you have any advice, please leave a comment.  Continue reading “Articles: Job Relocation” »

Website: Subscriptions Now Available

November 13th, 2009

New Subscription model is now available.

If you do not wish to figure how to use/integrate the RSS feeds into your daily lives, you can now subscribe to the JobSeekers website without having to sign up to or through Yahoo Groups. JobSeekers now has its own subscription management system.

If you wish to sign up for receiving emails whenever there are new postings on the JobSeekers website, please subscribe.  The subscription form is located at the bottom of the right sidebar.

Current Yahoo Groups users will no longer require Yahoo Groups to receive notifications, but can continue using Yahoo Groups if they would like.  New subscribers can use the website to subscribe.  Yahoo Groups subscribers can unsubscribe from Yahoo Groups and re-subscribe through the JobSeekers website, if they wish.  There is no reason to at this time.

At the moment, the only option for receiving emails from the JobSeekers website is to receive one email for every item posted on the site. This should not be a major impact as 85% of the original JobSeekers received them in this format. The Yahoo group: ASQBaltJobSeekers will still continue to receive the email notices as before (that email is subscribed, just like everyone else).

If you have any questions, please contact or use the contact form on this website.
