Job: Quality Engineer (Kongsberg Defense Corp; Johnstown, PA)
#K0106 Quality Engineer -
Performs first article inspection, surveillance, qualification audits, and ongoing oversight of supplier products and processes including review and verification of supplier process qualifications and in-process operations to ensure products are in compliance with company’s technical, quality and contract requirements. Interfaces with suppliers’ technical and management personnel to identify and investigate quality issues, determine root cause, and collaboratively develop corrective action and implement solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering plus five years experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing environment required. A high school diploma/ General Education Degree (GED) plus 15 years experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing environment shall be considered equivalent. Prior experience in the defense industry beneficial.
