DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general direction of the Supplier Quality Manager, this position is
responsible for the application of Vendor Management programs related to
supplier risk mitigation and supplier and raw material information to ensure
compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. This position’s primary
focus is the US and Canadian operating units.
Other responsibilities of this position include:
• General activities include the management and application of processes,
procedures, and tools related to the control of raw material data and
documentation in computer systems (WinCHEM and SAP).
• Ingredient Category & Associated Vendor Management – Provide raw material
technical support which includes pertinent vendor performance and raw material
data analyses for selected raw material categories. Work with the business units
to resolve issues related to raw materials and vendors.
• Management of assigned projects that support the comprehensive continuous
improvement goals of the Quality Assurance function and the Company.
• Provides technical support for the management, development, and quality of raw
material specifications for the US and Canadian operations.
• Leads or participates in various cross-functional teams in support of the
Vendor Management group.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology,
Microbiology or similar technical field required.
• 3-5 years relevant experience required.
• Prior work experience in food industry preferred.
• Familiarity with U.S. Food, Drug and Cosmetic Laws and Regulations and their
application to spices, seasonings, flavorings and extracts preferred.
• Familiarity with computer systems such as SAP and WinCHEM preferred
• Ability to lead cross functional/cross divisional teams required.
• Ability to work with people at all levels (internally & externally)
required.
