Job Description:
Plan, organize, direct and perform supplier quality related activities on a supply chain team for assigned commodities, including identification of risk and mitigation. Develop supplier relationships to ensure supply chain objectives. Partner with suppliers to improve quality performance for the mutual benefit of AAI and the supplier. Assist suppliers in contemporary quality assurance processes and procedures to facilitate continuous improvement of supplier and product performance. Perform and/or participate in source qualification by performing quality management system surveys and special process surveys. Perform first article inspections, process reviews, and witness testing at supplier facilities ensuring procured product meets drawings, specifications, processes and SOW requirements.

Assist receiving inspection in resolving inspection and documentation issues. Work with procurement, program management, program quality, engineering, manufacturing, reliability, inspection, and government representatives to resolve issues with discrepant supplier material. Perform data analysis and issue reports on supplier performance to ensure suppliers meet and maintain expected quality levels. Investigate trends and issue timely corrective action requests to suppliers to resolve discrepant material issues and determine root cause. Perform troubleshooting with supplier to resolve issues as required. Status and approve SCAR responses to supplier quality issues and verify the effectiveness of supplier actions on subsequent product inspections/receipts/visits.
Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Engineering/Quality Assurance/Supplier Quality preferred.
• Broad knowledge of Quality Engineering and manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Technical knowledge of inspection and test techniques.
• Background in electrical and electro/mechanical manufacturing and design environment.
• Knowledge of circuit card assemblies, printed circuit cards, J-Std-001, IPC-A-610 a must.
• Knowledge of RF and microwave a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001-based quality systems a plus.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 preferred.
• Experience in ISO auditor techniques, methodology and practices a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Good interpersonal skills in dealing with suppliers, peers and other functional areas.
• Strong technical writing ability.
• Must have strong computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Up to 50% domestic travel, possibly on short notice.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Science* with 2 + years related experience or
Masters Degree in Engineering/Science* with 1 – 2 years related experience
