February 2019 Dinner Meeting – Agile Development

Information on the Tuesday, February 12, 2019 Dinner Meeting has been posted:

Venue: Conference Center at the Maritime Institute

Program: Agile process is currently a very popular way of executing complex projects across a wide variety of industries. Based on frequent development and delivery cycles, the process focuses on continuously providing value to the project customer and reducing the risk of unexpected complication late in the development lifecycle. Attendees will receive an overview of how an agile process works, where and how quality assurance is baked into the process, and what checks and balances are available to provide visibility and corrective action to ensure project success.

Speaker:  Matt Cunningham
Matt is a Software Development Manager at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, and has been managing agile programs for over 10 years while also assisting established programs in adopting an agile process. He has successfully applied agile process to cost-plus programs with level of effort tasking, on programs with must-complete requirements, and up to fixed-price delivery-based programs that develop new technologies. Experience across a wide variety of customers and technologies has allowed him to fully understand how adaptable the agile process can be, while also recognizing the important process checkpoints that provide measurement and adjustment to steer a program towards success.
