Senior Certification Task Analyst/Test Developer
Essential Job Functions
Manages/Leads activities related to all DCICC exam development, administration and scoring.
Exam Development:
- Job Task Analysis: Leads efforts of 3rd party vendor(s)/psychometricians, internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and other staff and volunteers in conducting Job Task Analyses for each of DCICC’s certification programs. This includes determining initial content definitions, developing JTA Survey tools, and determining and finalizing content outlines/exam blueprints.
- Item Development and Review: Leads efforts of internal and external SMEs and other staff and volunteers in developing and reviewing items to be used in the DCICC certification programs. This includes developing item writing guidelines, conducting training and workshop sessions for item writers and reviewers. Assures that items developed and reviewed meet the exam content outlines in terms of established item writing guidelines and taxonomy. Works with internal SMEs to assure appropriateness of content and Item Banking Data Analyst/Editor in the harvesting of items into the various item pools.
Exam Administration
- Item Form Development and Administration: Leads efforts in the construction and administration of exam forms for the DCICC certification exams, working with: 1.) The Item Banking Data Analyst/Editor in the construction/maintenance of test forms, 2.) The internal and external SMEs to assure appropriateness of content of the forms constructed, and 3.) 3rd party vendor(s)/psychometrician(s) where appropriate in terms of exam form consistency/equating, etc., Monitors and coordinates exam publishing efforts with 3rd party test administration vendor related to Quality Control checks of exam forms prior to release.
Scoring
- Setting Cut Scores and Maintenance: Leads efforts in the development and implementation of appropriate scoring methodologies for the DCICC certification exams. Work with 3rd party vendor(s)/psychometricians and volunteer practitioner SMEs in the review and analysis of exam item responses in order to establish scoring standards. Conduct periodic checks on item performance and overall performance of exam forms.
- Assures that DCICC certification exams meet the psychometric requirements for ANSI accreditation and the ISO 17024 Standard.
Supervises Item Banking Data Analyst/Editor.
