DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintaining and implementing quality systems and food safety procedures at the
plant and departmental level
• Documenting the facility’s HACCP program and verifying that validations are
current
• Conducting and/or supervising internal audits
• Facilitating third party and regulatory audits, and maintaining documentation
relevant to quality programs and training
• Controlling stock of QN raw materials and/or materials with food safety
concerns
• Ensuring proper sanitation levels throughout the facility; monitoring pest
control; providing feedback on sanitation and GMPs
• Communicating quality/sanitation issues with plant management.
• Conducting plant-wide quality/sanitation training exercises
• Conducting project management of quality related strategic purchases and
implementation of equipment
• Supervising a team of sanitation technicians, microbiology lab technicians,
and internal auditors.
• Developing the procedures in other departments and the laboratory related to
root cause/corrective action.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science or a related field required
• 3-5 years of QC and Supervisory experience in food manufacturing required
• Experience with HACCP programs and documentation required
• Experience with sanitary design concepts required
• Experience with Food Defense/Security programs required
• Experience with root cause analysis required
• Experience with food allergens and recall processes required
• Demonstrated leadership, planning, organizing and communication skills
required
• Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills required
• Experience with PC software required
• SAP experience strongly preferred
